The driver was following his GPS along the treacherous mountain road outside Changzhi city in Shanxi Province, northern China when the lane became to narrow to continue. He tried to reverse down the mountain, but his front wheels slipped over the edge. The Russian submarine was lurking under the waters 200 miles north of Scotland when the crew of HMS Northumberland (inset) was dispatched to hunt it down. The Royal Navy's Type 23 frigate sailed into the region where the sub was believed to be hiding and deployed its array sonar - a cable covered in hydrophones pulled along behind the hull - to listen for sounds from the sub. But in what a navy source has described as a 'million-to-one chance event', the submarine was directly beneath the British vessel and smashed into the sonar cable. Farmer Nikolai Zlydnev, 35, from Leninsk, Russia uses a metal pole, axe, and a chainsaw to measure out and cut the circle. After completing the disc he uses an outboard motor to spin it around. Zlydnev claimed that his stunt was 'perfectly safe' as the ice was very thick and the lake was not very deep.

Confused drivers had to think quick when a backwards truck rolled at them on the highway. The truck driver, 62, had left the vehicle to check his brakes when it took off down the road. The driver tried to jump onto the side of the truck to gain entry but fell off. He gained minor injuries after dropping to the road from such a distance and was taken to hospital. The truck proceeded to continue to roll and hit a power pole, starting a small scrub fire. Fortunately no serious injuries were reported.

Shocking footage shows the owner struggling to hold onto the wild cat underneath its front legs as it furiously moves its claws through the air in the Sabahiya area, south of Kuwait city. The short clip shows the animal, which appears to be young, writhing around in its owner's arms while making loud growling noises. Environmental police were called to the scene to help contain the big cat before returning it to captivity.
